Curriculum
Our curriculum is based on the belief that children’s learning is best supported when teachers and children work together to create projects - choosing a topic they are interested in learning about and exploring that topic. This collaborative and in-depth approach enhances problem solving, develops community, encourages creativity and increases engagement across all learning areas.
Facilities
Complementing our five classrooms are a materials room, an indoor gym and several outdoor play spaces. Our materials and play spaces are designed to deepen children’s creativity, curiosity and sense of community. Both our inside and outside spaces reflect our belief that children benefit from time with authentic, open-ended and natural materials.
Staff
Our teachers are a diverse group of passionate and caring educators, averaging more than six years at NPCC. Staff engage in ongoing training in early childhood development and education, program policies, state regulations as well as CPR, first aid and medication administration. The NPCC leadership team averages more than ten years of experience at NPCC, with a combined master’s level background in education and social work.
